So, I was on cosplay.com one day, and I noticed a person that put up an ad for resin casts they made. So I asked if they could make some Materia*. This is the outcome. You wil notice on the green on in the picture to the right, that it looks like 2 parts put together. Well, thats because it is. But its very unnoticable at a glance. In fact, I didnt even notice it at first. Anyway, they added a light in each one, that you turn the bottom of it and they light up (hence the left picture. Anyway very kool. And i cant wait to bring them to photoshoots or a con.

*For those of you that dont know, Materia are little balls of concentrated energy and materials that create basically a magical effect. The ones I have go as follows:
-RED MATERIA- SUMMON
This is used to summon a creature to do a specail attack
-GREEN MATERIA- MAGIC
This Materia is needed to use magic and elemental attacks. Examples of these are: Healing, Fire, Blizzard, Bolt (lightning) and so on.

i can ask them if they can make some for you. tho they will cost more since these are trial and error versions so they are cheap

Haha, thanks for the offer, but I actually have an idea how to make this part. xD
We're trying to make her Lightning cosplay from FF XIII, and we've been building her gunblade...not fun...

what? theres no materia in 13..nor is there any in ANY OTHER ff game..lightning cant use materia..only ff7 characters can..

Haha, I know that much! Her design is supposed to be based off of Cloud. (They passed for the most part, in my opinion.) But her gunblade is a BITCH to make, because we're making so it folds and everything. -_-'

30 inches? thats it? that thing isnt any shorter then 4 1/2 feet..lol your making it WAY to small
